I began playing golf at the age of 11 attending junior lessons every weekend. As many juniors do I quickly became obsessed and spent the majority of my free time on the golf course or practice grounds. As my obsession developed I began competing in regional and county golf tournaments and I eventually moved on to play college golf in America, competing against some of the best amateurs in the game. Throughout this process I always had a distinct passion for practicing and finding ways to get better.
After 2 years in America I realized that despite my love of competition, my real passion was in the development of skills and decided to begin my career as a golf coach. Through this long process of learning I have constantly strived to stay ahead of the game spending countless hours developing my knowledge not only of the technical aspects of the golf swing but of the golfer as a whole and of what can help a golfer perform at the best of their ability. There are multiple factors that go into performance and non should be overlooked.
I am now based at Cowdray Golf in West Sussex where I split my time between coaching and improving my own game. I’m very fortunate to have use of Cowdray Golf’s excellent facilities including a state of the art swing studio and Trackman 4 launch monitor. I coach a wide array of golfers from beginner junior golfers to single figure handicappers.
